Abstract:
The concept of talking tactiles is not a new one but their use in enabling visitors with a visual impairment to access Art and Exhibits in Museums and Galleries is.
This exibition will:
- Demonstrate how Museums/ Galleries can make their exhibits accessible using Talking Tactile Technology (T3)
- Demonstrate effectiveness of T3 to empower people who experience difficulties accessing information in written formats
- Introduce a multilingual support service to customers ensuring accessibility enabling Museums/ Galleries to meet DDA and Equal Opportunities legislation
- Display how the T3 will enhance the interactive resources in learning centres within Museums and Galleries
- Demonstrate how organisations can simply and easily generate resources to meet their specific requirements
- Demonstrate the flexibility of the T3 as a fully inclusive resource
