NCTD’s Vision
To create a world in which visual impairment is not a barrier to the
enjoyment of graphical information currently only available to the
sighted world.
NCTD’s Mission
- To help blind and partially sighted people to lead more independent
lives
- To add to their participation in, and enjoyment of, education, work and
leisure activities
- To ensure that blind and partially sighted people, and their needs, are
the focus of our work
- To deliver these benefits by providing the information they lack in the
form of tactile graphics and supporting services, of the highest
quality
- To advance the field of tactile graphics through collaborations,
information gathering and sharing, research and development
