Who Supports NCTD?

The National Centre for Tactile Diagrams is able to provide a range of tactile graphics and related services thanks to support from a range of organisations and kind donations.

Images of people using tactile graphics.

However, demand for tactile graphics constantly outstrips our resources and the Centre is seeking further support to enable us to better meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people in their daily lives.

If you are in a position to sponsor a pack of graphics, donate some equipment, if you would like to volunteer, or to discuss other ways you could help us achieve our mission and vision please get in contact.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the following organisations for their support:

  • The Higher Education Funding Councils of England (HEFCE), Northern Ireland (DENI), Scotland (SHEFC) and Wales (ELWa).
  • HEROBC (Higher Education Reach-out to Business and the Community fund, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department for Education and Skills (DFES) and the Department of Higher and Further Education Training and Employment (DHFETE) in collaboration with the University of York
  • Kirby Laing Foundation
  • Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust
  • Childwick Trust
  • SB Independent Ethics Committee (GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals)

We would also like to thank the University of Hertfordshire Development Committee, Special Events Committee, and the Development and Alumni Manager Bryan McLure for their continued support and fund-raising efforts.
