Graphics Services for Personal Use
Tactile diagrams, maps and pictures help blind and partially
sighted people to be more independent in their personal lives,
and add a new dimension to their leisure activities.

Tactile graphics can used:
- Anywhere - made in any size or shape from portable to permanent.
- Any topic - from maps of your local area, to pictures from
a book you are reading.
Examples of tactile graphics:
- layouts of buttons on public machines such as cash dispensers
and ticket machines
- layouts of the control panels of home appliances such as stereos,
microwave ovens, washing machines, mobile phones
- illustrations of craft work, games and fitness equipment
- museum exhibits and works of art
- plans of museums, theatres, and places of historic and cultural
interest
- maps of parks, countryside walks, and tourist areas
- plans of public transportation facilities such as train stations,
airports, and planes
- maps of town centres, shopping centres, sports and leisure
facilities
Because of funding from our supporters
(Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust) we are able to offer a discounted
rate to individuals in the UK for materials.
We hold a catalogue of
the tactile graphics currently available to purchase from the
NCTD. If you wish to enquire about getting new tactile graphics
please see obtaining new images.
We also offer training in all
areas associated with the production, use and support of tactile
graphics.
If you have a different enquiry please contact
us with your requirements and we will be happy to discuss
the various options available to you.
