This presentation will discuss using Tactileview.com and Routetactile.com to obtain and create tactile images.
In Holland the system right now is used as a model where children in regular schools can have an embosser in the classroom so that their teacher, parents or remedial teacher can order ready made designs from the catalogue or that they can create special made designs.
Also the central library from Dedicon will participate in this system where they add their materials to the database. Hybrid Daisy books could now be read and produced (de) centralised.
Some organisations for deaf / blind users have implemented the system to create tactile communication books (pictogrammes).
A few orientation and mobility instructors have started to use the system to create tactile street maps.
