This poster introduces a new portable visio-tactile interface for an information display suitable for visually impaired people, named Intelligent Glasses (IG). The IG system, under design at ISIR/Paris 6 University, CEA and INI (National Institute of Handicapped), is an association of optical cameras (stereo rig) and dynamic Braille surface (TactiPad). Any type of data can be displayed on TactiPad; texts, graphics, geographic and apartment’s maps, end-user near environment. The poster will discuss touch stimulation characteristics and tactile systems.
