RNIB offers a range of products and services relating to tactile graphics, through the combined forces of RNIB’s Maps and Diagrams department and the National Centre for Tactile Diagrams which was integrated into RNIB in April 2005. A variety of tactile images designed and produced by RNIB will be on display, including diagrams, pictures, maps and plans for education, leisure and daily life. Examples will include tactile images produced to suit specific client needs (for example, for a particular venue, event or hobby), as well as those designed after research to appeal to a wide audience (for example, core images for education, general interest images, and maps of popular areas and venues). In addition to packs of hand-held images, RNIB’s large-format ‘Maps for All’ and tactile greetings cards will be on display. Information about the type of products and services available from RNIB relating to tactile graphics will also be available.
