Abstract:

This presentation will include a demonstration of new methods to make speaking tactile diagrams. See how talking maps, diagrams and other images can be made by anyone with basic computer skills. Draw, scan, or import and observe the new IVEO Creator software automatically convert images to an interactive SVG format (from Word, Powerpoint, Excel, CorelDraw, Adobe Acrobat – or any other program you choose).

See how to add audio labels/descriptions to any and all objects in an image. Find out how you can make speaking diagrams you can email to friends and colleagues or post on your website so others can read them with the (free) IVEO Viewer software.

Anyone with an IVEO Touchpad and access to tactile prints (from a Tiger embosser or swell paper) can read interactive SVG documents by touch and audio. Those seeking full-colour, tactile, speaking documents will also be interested to see the presenter use the new Emprint colour tactile printer with the IVEO system.

Emprint combines colour HP Inkjet printing with Tiger tactile graphics. Printed documents appear visually-identical to those from mainstream HP Inkjet printers, but the ink print is raised on the paper by the integrated Tiger embossing technology. The presenter will demonstrate how colour tactile documents can be created from anything on the computer screen with the touch of a button.
