Visitors to the exhibition will be able to try out a demonstration of a technique for creating accessible talking tactile models. As visitors touch either of two metal space ship models, they will hear audio descriptions and explanations of the parts that they touch. They will also be able to listen to short descriptions of important highlights in the history of space exploration, change user settings and have their finger guided to any part of the model that they select from an alphabetical index, by navigating through a Main Menu of options, accessed by pressing metal “buttons”.
