More than words - the diverse world of tactile
images (workshop)

A hands-on look at the diversity
of tactile images from both the design and production techniques. The workshop
will also aim to demonstrate, by using up-to-the-minute examples of tactile images,
how they can be used in different ways, in different situations, to give access
to information.
Included will be the most recent innovative use of tactile images at an art gallery
- a large bronze bas relief of an oil painting accompanied by hand-held tactile
images and brought together with audio description.
